These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Frontier interactive storytelling platform and mobile application (the "Service") operated by Frontier Stories LLC ("Frontier", "us", "we", or "our").
By accessing and using Frontier, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
You must be at least 18 years old to access or use Frontier. Frontier is an adult experience and is not available to minors under any circumstances, including with parental or guardian consent. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age (or the higher minimum age required in your country to use online services or to consent to the processing of your personal data), and that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms. We require a date of birth at registration, we do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use the Service, and we may suspend or terminate any account that we believe does not meet these requirements.
Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of Frontier for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:
Users may create, upload, and share interactive stories and content through Frontier. You retain ownership of your original content, but grant us a license to use, display, and distribute your content within the platform. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any laws or infringe on others' rights.
Frontier lets you read interactive stories and chat with AI-powered characters. All characters, dialogue, letters, memories, and other interactions on the Service are fictional and are generated by artificial intelligence. Every Character is made up, and anything a Character says is invented and should be treated as fiction — not as fact, advice, or the statement or opinion of Frontier or any real person. Characters are not real people, even when a Character says or suggests otherwise.
AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate, and it does not reflect the views of Frontier. The Service is provided for entertainment purposes only. You should not rely on it for advice of any kind — including professional, legal, medical, financial, or relationship advice — and you should independently verify any information before relying on it. If you are experiencing a crisis or emergency, contact your local emergency services or a qualified professional. You are solely responsible for how you use AI-generated content, and you use it at your own risk.
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the Service, to understand our practices.
"Quills" are Frontier's virtual currency, used within the Service to unlock stories and to access chat and dating interactions with characters. Quills may be obtained through one-time in-app purchases or granted as part of a subscription. Quills are a limited, revocable license to use a feature of the Service and have no monetary value. They are not personal property, cannot be redeemed for cash or any other tangible value, and may not be sold, transferred, or exchanged outside of the Service.
Quills are consumed when you use them to unlock content or interactions and, once consumed, are non-refundable except where a refund is required by applicable law or by the rules of the applicable app store. We may, at our discretion, change the number of Quills required for any feature and the amount of Quills included in any package or subscription. Unused Quills are non-transferable and may be forfeited if your account is terminated for violation of these Terms.
Frontier offers auto-renewable subscriptions ("Memberships") that grant a recurring monthly allotment of Quills along with the benefits described for each tier. The title, length, and price of each subscription are shown in the app and on the App Store at the point of purchase; prices vary by subscription tier and may vary by region. The following terms apply to all auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play:
By purchasing a subscription you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. Payments, billing, and renewals are processed by the app store through which you purchased. For purchases made through the Apple App Store, Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions and the Apple standard End User License Agreement (EULA) apply, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. For purchases made through Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service apply.
You may not use Frontier for any unlawful purpose or to solicit others to perform unlawful acts. You may not transmit any worms or viruses or any code of a destructive nature. You may not use the service to harass, abuse, or harm others.
We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect users of the Service to do the same. We will respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"). If you believe that content on the Service infringes your copyright, you may send a written notice to our designated copyright agent that includes:
Notices may be sent to our designated copyright agent at copyright@playfrontier.app. We reserve the right to remove content alleged to be infringing, to terminate the accounts of repeat infringers, and to forward your notice to the user who provided the content. If you believe your content was removed in error, you may send a counter-notification containing the information required by the DMCA.
The information on this platform is provided on an 'as is' basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Frontier excludes all representations, warranties, conditions and terms whether express or implied.
In no event shall Frontier or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use Frontier, even if Frontier or a Frontier authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY, AS IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS. It requires that most disputes between you and Frontier be resolved through binding individual arbitration rather than in court, and it limits the ways you can seek relief from us.
Informal Resolution. Before starting an arbitration, you agree to first try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at legal@playfrontier.app and describing your claim. You and Frontier agree to try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 60 days before either party may begin an arbitration.
Binding Arbitration. You and Frontier agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service that is not resolved informally will be settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court. The arbitrator has exclusive authority to resolve any dispute relating to the interpretation, applicability, or enforceability of this agreement to arbitrate.
Class Action Waiver. You and Frontier agree that each may bring claims against the other only in your or its individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims or preside over any form of a representative or class proceeding.
Your Right to Opt Out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement and class action waiver within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing legal@playfrontier.app with your name, the email associated with your account, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration. Opting out will not affect any other part of these Terms.
Severability. If any portion of this Section is found to be unenforceable, the unenforceable portion will be severed and the remainder of this Section will remain in effect, except that if the Class Action Waiver is found unenforceable, then this entire arbitration Section will be void.
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, together with applicable U.S. federal law, including the Federal Arbitration Act, which governs the Dispute Resolution and Arbitration section above. Subject to that section, you and Frontier agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Multnomah County, Oregon for any dispute that is not subject to arbitration.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Frontier regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will stay in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be a waiver of that right or provision. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent; we may assign these Terms without restriction. These Terms do not create any agency, partnership, employment, or joint-venture relationship between you and Frontier.
Frontier may revise these terms of service at any time without notice. By using this platform, you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these terms of service.
